Our long time friend and partner Mr. Fred Lenertz will be offering up his entire Pitzer Ranch Broodmare herd at the Pitzer Ranch Fall Sale in Ericson, Nebraska. 34 head of high quality, proven broodmares will sell Sept. 4th, 2026 with no reserve.

The majority of these mares were purchased by Fred at the Pitzer Ranch as weanlings and have spent most their entire lives here. They have survived the cold winters, made the long trip in from pasture and worked through the chutes. They can be palpated, bred via artificial insemination and a number of them are halter broke. We will announce specific details on each mare as they come into the ring sale day.

Mr. Lenertz and his family are offering mares that have outstanding pedigrees, that are bred back to Pitzer Ranch Stallions for 2027. All of the resulting foals are HPI Eligible and several of them will be Riata Buckle & Royal Crown Eligible.

Proven, producing mares such as “ROAN POCO DOTS” a bay roan daughter of Poco Dot Lena, and dam of the money earning stallion CATOLENA JOE sells as Lot 170. She carries a Mia Browbeater in utero, positive pregnancy check for 2027. A Full sister to Dukes N Divas Dam “DIVA EYES’ sells as lot 83. She is carrying a Metallic Casanova for 2027 and is confirmed safe in foal. Lot 87 is “PAYDAYS IRISH GAL” an own daughter of Paddys Irish Whiskey and is confirmed safe in foal to Metallic Casanova. For all the barrel racers, Lot 181 “JACKIE TOPAZ” is a daughter of Jesses Topaz sells in foal to Hailey Kinsey’s Stud BROTHER HAYDAY, a full sibling to the great mare SISTER. Daughters of Royal Blue Quixote, Two Eyed Red Buck, Show Me A Song Joes, Joe Jack Red, Mia Browbeater and Favorable Intentions will also be offered.

This group of mares are in the prime of their life, already producing and are ready to go to work for you. No pampering or stall life required. These broodmares will go out and thrive. They are excellent mothers, good milkers and will be low maintenance type. They require no reproductive hormone maintenance either. You will be hard pressed to go out and find another group like them in the country.
